Ronnie Wood’s Teen Queen

This is Ekaterina Ivanova. The 19 year old Ronnie left his wife of 23 years. If you want to see the painting, check out the details of the gallery show flyer.

Ronnie is set to return from Ireland today with Miss Ivanova, whom he met while drinking as he celebrated the launch of the Stones film ‘Shine a Light’ in April. Don’t expect to see Ronnie at the gallery, they have stated that he has not been to his show, only the pubs that surround the gallery.

Just Britney Art Show

I can’t believe the “Just Britney” art show is for real! It is and it celebrates our pop princess’s highs and lows. Steven Corfe from Pickering England is the co-curator. It features Britney Spears-inspired work from over 30 artists. My favorite portrait of Britney is by artist Jason Kronenwald. He used chewed bubble gum to create it! Genius.  The show opens Sept. 28th at the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery and runs for 2 weeks. I bet if we go we can met Chris Crocker! That would be a treat. Chris has a piece in the show called Britney Pool. And just for the hell of it I threw in a pic of Daniel Edwards sculpture of Britney giving birth. Yeah, remember that! It is not on display at the show. click for grander views!

Sid Vicious: No-one is Innocent

Sid Vicious: No-one is Innocent, a revealing and intimate photographic exhibition of the most infamous and tragic of punk icons. Featuring exclusive, never-before-seen pictures from key punk photographers from the late 1970s, the show will shine new light on Sid’s chaotic life in the spotlight with his band-mates in the Sex Pistols, as well as his ill-fated relationship with the notorious Nancy Spungen. The show which runs until 11th August at Proud Camden is one exhibit that should not be missed and yet here I am missing it!

The show is not just a photography exhibit they have included  elements of film and live music working alongside the photographs. Punk guru Alan Parker, director of the film Who Killed Nancy? (due for release this year) and luxury electronics brand Pioneer helps bring the elements together. The Sex Pistols tribute band The Sex Pistols Experience will playing at the opening night and throughout the exhibition run. Fans get a sneak preview of the film and previously unseen footage of Sid and the Pistols during the exhibit.

Pete Doherty at Bankrobber Art Gallery

If you can’t make it to London to Knotting Hill to see Pete Doherty’s Art Show check out his blood works here. This show has been so pre judged and and shit on because of Pete’s other favorite past time. I love his work and be assured HE IS NOT THE FIRST PERSON TO DRAW AND PAINT IN BLOOD. My guess is Pete did this to add shock value to his work. It makes it rather controversial. So get over it. Pete is high, drooling and laughing at your disgust. Enjoy the Art!
