On Monday, Strickland granted a motion filed by Casey’s attorneys asking that he rescue himself. Casey’s defense team argued that comments the judge made to a blogger showed he was prejudiced against Anthony.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry has taken over the high-profile case. He has been Chief Judge for nearly 13 years and has sat on the bench in central Florida for 21 years.
Perry is known as a no-nonsense, brass tacks kind of judge. This differs greatly from Strickland, who is viewed as a more laid-back, congenial jurist.
In ten years of hearing criminal cases, including murder trials, only one of Perry’s ruling have been overturned by a higher court.

Inmate Robyn Adams, with whom Anthony exchanged 50 letters while incarcerated, told investigators that Casey Anthony told her that she sometimes used “stuff” to put her daughter to sleep. Another inmate, Maya Derkovic, said Anthony told her a similar story, but never said how she “knocked out” the toddler, according to the documents released today.

Tot Mom: Casey Call Jose
Another play about Casey Anthony and beloved Caylee’s death created by Steven Soderbergh (who directed films Erin Brockovich and Ocean’s Eleven)
Tot Mom is scheduled to run from December 18 through January 31 at the Sydney Theater Company in Australia.
Casey stands to make no royalties from the play, as it’s based on official documents and coverage of the case.

Casey Anthony’s Tattoo
A win for the prosecutors!
The judge will let the prosecution take pictures of one of her tattoos.
The tattoo says “Bella Vita,” which is Italian for beautiful life.
Casey got the tattoo after Caylee disappeared.
Bobby Williams is the tattoo artist who gave Casey her “Bella Vita” tattoo.
Bobby is from Cast Iron Tattoos in Orlando.
